Architecture, Environment and functionality all come together within the design of The Enigma Energy project. This is more than just a simple design of a building or space. The idea and concept behind this project is to help reduce the amount of energy use from the oil and gas used to fuel the common automobile. This project is a combination of two fields, Architectural and Automotive engineering. The design of a new electric car by the owner / client required a new way of thinking about the design of a typical car dealership. As shown in the following site plan sketch, the site utilizes solar carports that will be used to charge the cars and provide shade to the site. The main building provides unique spaces that allow customers to meet and research the new automotive technology. The main building is designed to meet the highest level of environmental and sustainable standards, reaching a platinum level LEED rating.
