Las Vegas Convention Center

Project Description:

The Renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center signifies the third and final phase of the overall Las Vegas Convention Center project. KME Architects, having worked on the previous Phase 2 portion of the project (the Convention Center Expansion), was selected along with other local firms to provide architectural services for this important project.

Similar to the Phase 2 Expansion of the Las Vegas Convention Center, this project was offered by the client through a competitive Request for Qualifications (RFQ). KME Architects, as part of the design collective “Design Las Vegas,” and drawing on its experience from the Phase 2 portion of the project, partnered with one of the city’s leading architectural firms on this large-scale project.

Design Las Vegas assembled what we believed was the most talented and locally dedicated team to provide the strongest opportunity for winning the design competition for the Las Vegas Convention Center Renovation.

The original RFQ (Request for Qualifications) for this project was open to all architectural design firms and teams wishing to participate. Five design teams initially submitted proposals, and three finalist teams were shortlisted. KME Architects’ team, KLW + Design Las Vegas (comprised of KME Architects, TSK Architects, Simpson Coulter Studio, and Carpenter Sellers Del Gatto Architects), ultimately won the commission for the project.
