Completed spring 2010, the new Port of Subs restaurant, located at the D Gates McCarran International Airport, was a coordination challenge. The facility has all of it’s power, carbonation lines and plumbing that are located on the lower level in its own storage room. KME as lead architect was asked to work with the owner, McCarran and the contractor to ensure, the location of the restaurant did not violate any on site codes or structural integrity issues. The construction budget was $250k and was finished a week ahead of schedule and under budget.
